Over the past few days we got many people to come the Showdocument.com site test the service and give us their feedback and write reviews. Below is a fast growing list of some of the sites that have covered Show Document directly or through their blogs over the past few days.
HBR labs has been busy developing a day to day document share application allowing any user share document online interactively and for free. That application can be found at www.showdocument.com
If one has a legal document, contract, presentation or even a school paper he or she wishes to discuss live while reviewing it at the same time – Show Document is the application that could help do just that. All you need to do is take three steps:
1. Select a document you would like to share.
2. Upload it
3. Start the session.
As soon as the session’s host is in, he or she gets a code that can be used to invite other people to join the session. The code for the session can be sent through chat or e-mail or mentioned simply over the phone.
The guest either clicks on the link or inserts the code on the home page and join the live Interactive session.
The application is still in a beta stage and feedback is welcome from all.

In recent months we have been asked several times by users if we could add a real time desktop share application to our set of interactive multimedia tools. However, as our philosophy is focused on offering tools that require no installation that task required some more research. We were 100% successful on the customer side who only needs a Flash Player while on the host side, the presenter needs to have a Java Plugin.
The main features of the Desktop Sharing tool are:
- Ability to transmit both the screen image and the mouse motion from the host to the customer.
- Bandwidth usage optimization: quickly transmits screen changes and later improves quality.
- Screen capture gallery: generates a sequence of screen captures that can later be loaded and edited to the whiteboard.
Prerequisites: Browser: Mozilla Firefox, IE7 (IE6 is not supported); Java plugin 1.5 or higher. (only on the presenter side) and Flash player.
